Staff was courteous, accommodating, and friendly. Everyone we interacted with was great!!! If we're ever back for another stay, this would probably be the main reason why. The food at the restaurant had good variety and we enjoyed what we ordered. Free luggage storage after check-out was very useful, as we wanted to walk around the city a bit before taking our bags. Valet parking was also great and fairly reasonable in terms of price. Many other similarly priced hotels in the area would not guarantee a parking space, so for us this was a very important advantage of staying here. We thought our room was comfortable enough for a one-night stay. Furniture and interior were certainly dated but that did not make our stay worse. Bathroom felt very upscale! We also thought that sound proofing was really good for the most part, any noise that we did hear was coming from the hallway. As other reviewers have noted, the area gets a little sketchy at night but the hotel entrance is only accessible with your card key so we felt safe returning to our room after dark.

The location is excellent, subway is just around the corner, which brings you everywhere in the city. Also Midtown has a lot of restaurant options. The hotel is tidy and clean, small bar/restaurant space on floorlevel and a small gym in the basement. Rooms are cleaned every day and you get fresh water bottle each day. The beds are very comfy and in the room you don't hear NY sounds.

Very comfortable beds and good shower in very good location, walkable to many attractions. Im guessing the room is large by new york standards. Lots of good places to eat around. Highly recommend Friedmans Bagels, Miss Korea Bbq, Bear donuts just a minute or so away. Get your breakfast takeaway and eat on the hotel rooftop! Location is great especially if you like korean food.

we stayed at the Hyatt for 1 night before checking into a suite in 5 star hotel. we were not expecting much from this Herald Square Hyatt but we were wrong. the front desk guy (Angel) was so helpful, the room was really comfortable too. good Wi-Fi , I got extra pillows quickly, coffee in the morning.. and it was an inexpensive cost . definitely worth checking out. thumbs up

Jodi

Very quiet and clean, space-efficient, well-planned room with plenty of places to put your things—and plug them in. No hunting for outlets! Very courteous, consummately professional staff. Speedy elevators. Shower was easy to operate and hot water was immediate. Temperature was easy to set and stayed consistent—something that we haven't experienced recently.
